Protect Yourself From Phishing Attacks

With the acceleration of the digital economy, an increasing number of phishing attacks are launched in a variety of ways via phone calls, text messages, emails, and even social media that may appear to come from legitimate or official sources.

At AIG, we are committed to protecting the information of our partners and customers. However, partner and customer vigilance remain of paramount importance. The following are some important steps that you can take to help protect yourself from cyber-attacks and scams:

1. Always protect your personal information with strong passwords.

  • Avoid the use of consecutive numbers like 1234 or words like your name and others. These increase the potential risk to your account.
  • Use passphrases that are easy for you to remember but modified with a combination of upper- and lower-case letters, numbers and special characters.
  • Use a different strong password for your various accounts.

2. When accessing AIG platforms, personally enter the domain name of the official AIG site you wish to access in your browser.

Always check that the domain name begins with HTTPS and that the website you are visiting belongs to AIG. The official AIG domains in Indonesia are:

  • Ensure all email correspondence from AIG Indonesia is legitimate by checking all AIG Indonesia’s emails come from AIG Indonesia’s official email which ends with @aig.com, for example: Budi@aig.com

3. Do not assume the identity of sender.

  • DO NOT assume that messages sent in the same conversation thread are from the same sender. Scammers can masquerade as legitimate senders.
  • If something about a conversation or request is unusual or does not feel right, do not reply or act on it. Please contact our customer service within our operational hours: Monday – Friday, at 08.30 – 17.00 WIB by:
